Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the power lock switch on this 2005 Ford Excursion. It's the same part and similar process on these Excursions from 2002 to 2005. We show you on the driver's side, but the passenger's side has the similar procedure. The items you'll need are a new door lock switch from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by prying up your switch panel and then sliding it forward. Push the tab on each of these harnesses and pull them free. Pry up the tabs on your door lock switch while applying pressure from the other side, and the switch will fall free.
On the left is the old switch; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they'll fit exactly the same. Push your new door lock switch into place. Reconnect your harnesses. Push this back in tab end first, and then push down the front.

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace the power door lock switch on this 2003 Mercury Mountaineer. We show you on the driver side, but he passenger side is a similar procedure. The items you'll need for this are a new power door lock switch from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Pry out on this panel behind the door handle. Then just slide it forward and off the door handle. Then lift up on the front of your switch panel and then slide it back. Then just push the tabs on these harnesses to disconnect them. For this last one you're going to need a flat blade screwdriver to just push in the tab. Go ahead and pull it free.
Pry out on these tabs while pushing on the side of the switch and then repeat the process on this side. When you're doing the last tab, just lightly pull up on the switch and it'll pull free. Now to remove the door lock switch you want to pry out on these two tabs while applying pressure to the top of the switch. Just pry it out with a flat blade screwdriver, and the switch will pop free.
On the top is the old switch. On the bottom is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical. It fits exactly the same. Just push it into place until it clicks in. Then take your switch pack and just push that back into place.
Then reconnect those three harnesses. Then slide the back in first and push the front of the switch panel down into place. Then take this lower panel and slide it back over the door handle and slide those tabs back into place. Then push in the front. You're all set.

Power door lock switch front drier side
E
August 9, 2017
The power door lock switch that is the only one on your website for my vehicle, is for the passenger side door and does not work for the drivers side door. The drivers side switch is wired the opposite of the passenger side, with the unlock to the left, lock to the right. I told the on-line chat person that the picture was totally opposite of what I have in my truck, but she insisted that it would work. I put the switch in, which makes it upside down from the passenger side, and it does not work. I am going to have to send the switch back and try to find the switch elsewhere.
