Brought to you by 1AAuto.com. Your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm on of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly. That's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video we'll be showing you how to replace the master power window switch on the driver's door on this 95 Accord. Same as any '94 to '97 Accord 4-door. This switch can get damaged by rain or you can spill things on it. Also, it can just wear out over time. Pretty easy to replace. This screw right down inside the handle, once that screw's up and out, it's going to take some force. There are some clips that lock this in. You basically just press in and up and then slide it out. You can see on this one of my clips is broken. Now to remove these connectors you can see each one has a little tab you can press right there with your thumb. Then pull it out. That's the one for the mirror. Here, these are the ones for the power window. The tabs are on the backside, so I'm pressing with my finger on the tab and working it out. Take the screw out. There's the panel out.
We do sell the panel in certain colors. To get the switch out of this bezel, there should be 3 screws. One here, here, and 1 down here. This car for some reason only has one screw, so I'm going to remove that. Now the switch comes off. Our new switch from 1A Auto, it looks a little different because it's more of a sealed unit, but it has the same mounting holes here, here and down here as the original. It goes on. Screw down in. You may need to kind of line up the screw as it goes down just to get it into the right section here. Press the switch down in. Tighten up the screw and now to do this right I'll go get a couple more screws to fix it correctly. Once you do the other screws just like the original, plug in this one, then plug in this guy. Then hook up the mirror as well. Just got to press it in. The switch all works. Off position, nothing works. With everything hooked up, I'm going to push the inside down in. Push the switch in. Push it forward. Push everything back down in. Then with your phillips screw and screwdriver, put it in, tighten it up, and you're all set to go.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com. Your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Please feel free to call us toll free 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person.

Disappointing Switch
A
November 5, 2022
This switch looked as pictured, but the connections were loose so it only worked if we overtighten the screw to hold it together. It also did not seat perfectly in place so there is a small gap between the door and the switch panel. Now it only works sporadically once the screws work themselves loose. The only reason I didn't return it immediately was because my daughter insisted she would deal with it and didn't want to be without her car. It is very frustrating.
