Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we'll be showing you how to replace the door jamb light switch on this '95 Accord same as any '94, '97 Accord and many Honda models. We're going to start by disconnecting your negative battery terminal. The door jamb switch is on the front. Kind of pull down the boot and there's a screw right underneath. Pretty much the same for the rear as well although the screw is on the bottom side. The switch is the same though. Pull that down. Unscrew. You might want to use your screwdriver to kind of break the seal. Pull it out. Unhook it. The switch from 1A Auto here's the new one. The exact same as the original. It will bolt right in. On this car, this switch is in okay shape so I'm going to reinstall the original one. These switches ... the indicator is if your dome light works when you open the passenger's door but it doesn't work when you open the driver's door, that's usually an indicator that the switch is messed up. Reconnect it. Push it down in. Push it nice and flush. Push the boot.
