Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
Okay, so you can see here we have our truck on a lift, but if you're looking to lift your vehicle, usually what you want to do is, if you're lifting the rear wheels, you can place a floor jack underneath the rear axle. You want to make sure you don't bend this plate here at all, so you place it underneath the rear axle, jack it up, and then you can place your jack stands right under the frame.
You could also, if you're not working on a suspension item, jack it up and you can you put the jack stands right underneath your rear axle.
Moving up front, usually what you want to do is probably jack up one side. You can place the jack right underneath your control arms here, then put your jack stand underneath the frame back further. Same thing on the other side. If you needed to jack both wheels up at the same time, you could put a jack directly under this cross member here, jack it up, and then put the jack stands under the frame.
