I am chasing probable causes from a PO300 random misfire code. I swapped out the crank and camshaft position sensors. My Jeep Comander 4.7 soon started having problems. If you tried hitting the throttle hard it would fall out over 4,000 rpm and go into limp mode throwing a camshaft pos sensor code, itd run bad bucking until I cleared the code. Hit the gas hard and itd happen again. I put the oem sensor back in and havent had a problem since. Id recommend a oem Mopar replacement for this part.

It should code with camshaft positioned sensor there are two sensors on some engines front and back on left side

No The crank required an OEM, while the cam works with after-market. Normally both sensors should be replaced at the same time. To ensure one time install, the OEM (which is substantially more expensive) should be utilized. Nonetheless, I do not mind tinkering.
