Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To remove this lower panel here that's over the blower motor, it just slides into some pins that are up here, but it is clipped into the dashboard. There's four spots. There's a clip here, a clip here, a clip here, and a clip here. You're going to use a plastic trim tool. You can get these from 1AAuto.com. It'll go straight up and push the clip towards the front of the car. I'll pull it down out of the dash. I'm going to go along and do this to all of them. So what I'm doing is, when I'm going up, I'm pushing this tab in like that and then pulling it down to unlock it, so I'm pushing it into the front of the car. It'll just pull right out of these pins. I'll pull this trim out of the way.
The blower motor is here. There is three threaded – well, there's three bolts. They do have a Phillips head screw in them, so I'm going to use that to remove it, but before I do that, I need to unplug the blower motor harness. You push in on the lock and pull that down. Move that aside.
You can use a large Phillips head screwdriver to remove the three bolts that have Phillips head screws in there, holding the blower motor, but it might be easier, if you've got access to it, to use an eight millimeter ratchet, eight millimeter socket and ratchet. It's actually going to go a little bit quicker because of the ratchet. We'll get this one loose. It's out, and this should just slide right out of the HVAC box. There's our blower motor. This also has a resistor built into it. It's inside of here.
Here's our old blower motor and resistor assembly. Here's our brand new one from 1AAuto.com. It’s got the same setup, same mounting tabs, same electrical connector. This should fit in the car and work great for you.
I'm going to slide our new one into place. This needs to go into the corresponding opening that's in the heater box, which is right up here. I'm going to get this in place. I'm going to lift it up into place, turn it so it lines up, and it slides right in. These are just self-tapping screws going into plastic, so once I feel them get tight, I'm just going to stop. I don't want to strip them out. That's tight. I'm just going to stop. I'm going to reinstall the plug. It locks in place.
To install the panel, I'm going to slide these two pins into these two openings in the back. I'm going to push these clips right back up into the dash. The blower motor and resistor is replaced.

Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
There's four plastic tabs holding this lower trim panel on. Right here, over here, right over here, and one over here. Going to reach in sort of pull this down and reach up and push the tab towards the front of the vehicle to unlock it. Save all of them. This one and then it also has a push clip in here. Right there and there's two tabs that this is sitting on in the back so pop it out.
Here are three screws holding the blow motor in. You can either use the eight millimeter or a T25 Torx bit, using that on my extension here. This one here. This one here. This one here. And then this one over here. Start on the one closest to the firewall here. Extension's kind of getting in the way. Get it loose, pull it out with my fingers, and put the other one on here. Before I get too far, we'll unplug the connector which is locking, pull the plug out. The last one here. Hold the blower motor up and place behind the wires. We have the blower motor.
Here is the original blower motor assembly and here is the brand new one from 1Aauto.com. Same exact, style design. Just like the original the new one has the blow motor resistor, it's integrated inside of here. So if you're looking for the resistor, it is contained in the blow motor. Same mounting tabs, same electrical connector plug. This will work great and fit great in your vehicle.
Blower motor back in place. Line up this part of the blow motor with the opening right here. Set it up toward the heater box, past the harness wiring here. This screw caught here. this other caught on the other side. They're just self-tappers going right into plastic, so don't over tighten them, then the final one here behind the harness. And plug it all back in. The blower motor is replaced. We'll reinstall this cover. So these two pins in the corresponding holes where at the firewall, so we push them in there and then lift it up and clip it in place.

Vent blower
Hans
November 20, 2017
The video on how to replace the blower really helped. It took me longer to find my socket then it did to replace the blower.
The blower was simple to order and delivered in the time as requested.
I wish I would have replaced it a year ago! Nice having quiet ventilation.
Works great

How to video was spot on. Easy installation and the product works great. It took care of a bothersome clicking sound present with the factory fan.

1A auto shipping was great. Almost bought this on Amazon, but the hit or miss reviews on Amazon made me nervous. But the 1A guarantee and their great videos won me over.
The actual swapping out was as easy as the video said. Rear bolt was a bit tricky. The paneling tools were great too. Saved me from breaking the plastic. The new motor takes about five seconds to get up to speed but once it is going it keeps blowing even after the car is turned off for a few. Man oh man does it do a great job. I liked 1A enough to write this review when I came back to shop for an alternator.
Thanks 1A

Parts looked identical to factory fan. The video online doesn't show how little room there really is but helped getting the motor installed. Working great still

The blower is as described, fits the OEM connection, and fits in the opening with no modifications required. All speeds work after installing. The only reason I am not giving this item 5 stars is the motor is noisier than the original. What I am hearing is the type of noise one hears from a motor with brushes, an electrical noise. It is possible that the unit I received is defective. If the issue worsens I will loo into getting it exchanged via the warranty policy. Otherwise, I am happy with the product and it's build quality.

This unit is louder than the original. They shipped the unit in a large box, however; the unit was not neatly inside the part box. Right now the unit works and I am hoping it does become quieter.

At least its working but a little disappointed.

Like others have reported the fan is noisier than the stock one. In addition I noticed the fans reaction time is much slower than the stock fan. The stock fan when changing the fan speed reacted instantaneous. This fan has a fairly long delay.

My radio had interference when the fan was on. I used the old resistor fan speed board to correct the radio interference. Had to modify the blower housing in order to install the original module. Not really satisfied.

My OEM blower motor died, and this was a great replacement. I'm taking a star off because it's slightly louder than the OEM, and it has a delay when changing fan speeds (very common among others). Besides that, it works really well!
Great experience and part fitment was perfect.

Fit was fine, but the sound was off and didn't seem to blow as hard as the one I was replacing. Just threw it away as I had already thrown the box away and installed it. That said, I have ordered numerous items from
1AAuto and this was my first disappointment.

Effective but not a top performer.

Does not push air as much as oem. Slow to start up and then has a wind down period once turned off. A bit louder than oem but it is plug and play and better than not having no air flow. Purchase if in a pinch and need the airflow, otherwise oem would be a better choice.
Blower fan works great!

The blower takes 2-5 seconds longer to come on and turn off than factory one. Bothered me a bit.
But runs smooth and quiet.
Faulty. Did not operate.

It was dead. It did not run. I had to go to dealer. They bought a replacement for nearly twice the price and it worked. Had to replace it a second time but now I have air flow.
