The book says Christine is red and white, though all '58 Fury's were beige, what King is describing is actually a Plymouth Belvedere. Also the transmission is called a hydramatic, a GM transmission, which would obviously not be in a Chrysler vehicle. The Plymouth Fury is a fast, fun, attractive vehicle and thanks to Stephen King, it has been locked into popular culture.
